Node International is searching for an experienced cyber security specialist and risk advisor to join our company and support our cyber insurance growth initiative in North America. This unique role will pair together an understanding of the cyber, tech and privacy insurance marketplace with technical knowledge, account management of operational cyber security risks and best practices. The Cyber Risk Specialist will be responsible for managing relationships and developing cyber insurance business for a regional territory. 

Successful candidates must have a strong tech/cyber expertise and understanding of the cyber threat landscape, the ability to translate risk management needs and insurance deficiencies into solutions, and strong communication skills with both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic direction and sales initiatives of the company by traveling to meet with retail and wholesale clients
  • Drive new and renewal cyber insurance business and manage relationships for the assigned territory
  • Identify gaps, promote the benefits and risk management services offered by the company, and offer consultation on cybersecurity and privacy best practices for clients
  • Deliver consistent metrics of business development and renewal revenue
  • Perform cyber insurance program and risk management analysis, as well as, threat evaluations as needed
  • Participate in and present at industry conferences, and serve as a thought leader for the organization
  • Work with company underwriters to develop insurance solutions that meet client needs
  • Work with cyber security vendors/MSSP’s as needed based on a client’s cyber risk needs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an account management, partnership programs, software sales or business development position 
  • Demonstrated success in a cybersecurity organization 
  • Understanding of cyber and privacy insurance coverages and marketplace preferred; willing to train on necessary insurance requirements
  • Knowledge of privacy laws, rules, and state data breach notification requirements
  • Expertise in both IT and operational based cyber security best practices, standards, and implementation
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-driven, independent and motivated to grow a long-term, successful sales career
  • Working towards CISSP, CEH, CISM, CIPP or comparable designations preferred
  • Ability to travel
