The Experian Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) mission is the detection, analysis, and escalation of security related incidents to ensure appropriate remediation in a timely manner. GSOC is seeking a threat detection manager, who will oversee that our people, processes and technology are meeting service level objectives, agreements, and metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the development and execution of the regional (US) Threat Detection strategy
  • Engage and collaborate with other GSOC Teams (Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Investigations, Cyber Threat Intelligence)
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff
  • Maintain Operational Effectiveness align with organizational goals
  • Demonstrate Positive Leadership through proactive engagements, collaboration, feedback, professionalism, working sessions
  • Demonstrate effective time and priority management
  • Track, prioritize, follow-up, and follow through on executing known and ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities
  • Interface and collaborate with outside teams to establish extended network
  • Responsible for reviewing   and   cases (review and provide feedback on an average of 10 cases per week)
  • Ensure Wiki documentation is up to date
  • Develop and maintain methodology and framework of Operational Metrics and KPIs
  • Collect, Analyze, and Action on Operational Metrics and KPIs
  • Responsible for assisting in audit efforts
  • Proactive interaction with Upper Management to propose solutions and raise concerns
  • Organize Quarterly Tabletop Exercises with Team
  • Review, Approve and Disseminate New Content information within SLAs
  • Demonstrate forward thinking by innovating improvements

Required Experience: 5+ years experience in the following areas:

Demonstrates highly advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities on:

  • Proficient in Incident Management and Response
  • Experience in security device management, DLP, SIEM, UEBA, and SOAR tools
  • In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc.
  • Experience in threat management
  • Knowledge of various operating system flavors including but not limited to Windows, Linux, Unix
  • Knowledge of applications, databases, middleware to address security threats against the same.
  • Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation
  • Experience in performing vendor management

  • Business Navy with the ability to handle high pressure situations with key stakeholders

Education:

  • Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.
  • Professional certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIH
