The Information Security Governance team is the principal advocate for information security and is responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive information security strategy to optimize the security posture of the organization.
The Information Security Governance and Awareness Specialist is a hybrid role that is primarily responsible for information security governance while supporting the global security awareness program. Ultimately this role will help reduce risk to our organization by ensuring all employees, staff and contractors know, understand and follow our security requirements and behave in a secure manner. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure ongoing operational activities are aligned to the strategy and objectives of the program.
Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected cyber related projects.
Develop and enhance management reporting to ensure key status, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, etc., are highlighted, escalated and tracked.
Support governance reporting on cyber related risk through various Experian security forums.
Provide Security Portfolio Administration services for the Governance Team.
Support the creation, tracking and delivery of governance related forum materials.
Ensure that our security awareness program communicates our security policies and requirements so that people know, understand and can follow them.
Support the execution of the training & awareness roadmap.
Help organize on-site information security awareness events at various locations.
Maintain the content of the Information Security Training and Awareness intranet site. Qualified applicants will meet the minimum requirements as stated below:
Bachelors degree in computer science or relevant field or equivalent demonstrable experience
5+ years of experience in security awareness and training or similar background.
Demonstrable knowledge of information security best practices and awareness topics.
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and design skills with demonstrable competence and experience in clearly explaining complex information security concepts and technologies for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Program/ Project global management experience.
Excellent planning, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to work with minimum direction and high drive for results.
Good collaboration, relationship and interpersonal skills. Highly Desired Skills:
Design experience and familiarity with design programs a plus.
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), PMP, CISSP, CISA, or other industry certifications will be considered a plus. Experian is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
