Role summary:

Under general supervision,  as a member of ITG’s Operation Command Center (OCC), responsible for providing direct oversight of Capital Group Companies’ (CGCs) 24x7 Global Production Business Processing Environment.  Central point of contact between technology and business operations and engages with application and infrastructure teams to lead event and incident management for CGC’s critical production operations
Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
  Manages incidents until service is completely restored.  
     o Liaises with various technology and application support teams 
     o Provides tactical assistance as issues arise, escalates and resolves to maintain a business-requirements focus.  
Assists leadership and management during business impacting events and incidents:   
     o Guides decision making and decision support for restoring business services 
     o Engages various teams of trouble-shooters to assess system health and issues 
     o Provides centralized command and control for major incident management, ensuring  teams focus first on restoring business services 
Maintains high value, business-contextual, relevant, and timely communications across technology, business domains, and ITG leadership 
     o Ensures communication is timely, accurate, and sent to the appropriate audience 
     o Escalates critical communications to shift manager or more senior associates. 
Reviews, analyzes and escalates issues from key metric analysis, event monitors, recorded service deviations, and documented changes 
Proactively identifies, escalates and may resolve potential issues before they escalate to impactful levels 
Contributes to a cohesive, solution-oriented, team encompassing all technology-support resources to ensure appropriate proactive and reactive response 
Ensures an up-to-date working-knowledge of all CGC’s technologies, applications, and business cycles 
Leverages technology experience and business knowledge to guide impact assessment, escalation, communication, and timely resolution 
Develops knowledge of CGC’s business cycles and capabilities to assess the impact of technology events on the business and other support areas 

Skills/qualifications: 
Demonstrates knowledge of applications and infrastructures  
Fast learner, results oriented, with thorough follow-through  
Detail oriented with a business- and customer-focused mindset 
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a consultative style 
Desire to develop and apply leadership skills in a key role 
Working conditions: 
This role requires participation in shift work including working hours outside of a normal business schedule
