Our Letters of Credit Servicing team is seeking a seasoned professional to bring their product knowledge and industry experience to collaborate with various business desks, internal and external legal counsels, beneficiaries and our borrowers in order to support the growing Letter of Credit product offering.
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Additionally, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve the firm's assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, and every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that make our business flow.
Corporate Loan Agency is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing across a broad range of products. Generally, the products supported are complex instruments that require close alignment with the business. Corporate Loan Agency is at the forefront of shaping and driving change in the industry with the ultimate aim of delivering greater accuracy, control and efficiency for our clients and our business.


  • Gain a broader understanding of the respective businesses you support by servicing a robust Letter of Credit portfolio and conducting Credit Agreement reviews, standard form of Standby Letter of Credit preparation, Letter of Credit lifetime servicing events, daily exception monitoring and break resolution
  • Build your communication skills through interaction with our Clients, Letters of Credit Beneficiaries, Internal/ External Counsels, other Financial Institutions, Middle Office teams, Sales teams, Controllers, and other internal Goldman Sachs groups to issue Standby Letters of Credit, resolve transactional issues and to collaborate on process and product enhancements and improvements
  • Display your ability to function as a team player while working in a fast paced environment
  • Develop your project management skillset by managing and/or assisting with projects for system or process improvements


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of work experience with Standby Letters of Credit
  • Loan/ Credit Agreement review experience
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word

Preferred Qualifications
  • Operations background a plus
  • Previous commercial/ business lending experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well within teams in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively with competing priorities
  • Fast learner and adaptable to change
  • Demonstrated leadership
