Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Irving, TX. Prepare/review of quarterly accounting and reporting packages, including fund-level net asset values, financial statements and investor capital statements for private equity investment funds. Prepare/review monthly and ad hoc reporting requests, including management fee analysis, cash flow analysis, financial reporting related requests, and regulatory reporting request (Federal and SEC requests). Prepare/review journal entries relating to daily cash activity, investment activity, currency purchases/exchanges, swap settings, credit facility activities, fund expenses and investor contributions and distributions. Prepare/review period-end close transactions including mark-to-market valuation and foreign currency adjustments, accruals, and other transactions. Oversee compliance with regulations and SOX internal controls. Work closely with fund administrators and other divisions, including Merchant bank, Operations and IT, coordinate of year-end audit process with independent auditors. Responsible for mentoring and training junior staffs. Must be willing to work with proprietary systems. No prior knowledge of proprietary systems is required pre-hire.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: financial reporting of GAAP financial statements, preparing and reviewing financial statement footnotes and underlying schedules necessary to create financial statements; debt and/or equity investments, both foreign and domestic; partnership accounting for private equity funds including experience with pro-rata and non-pro-rata allocations of profits and losses, calculating net asset values, preparing/reviewing management fee and performance fee allocations, and preparing/reviewing investor capital statements. Must have two (2) years of experience with: accounting, including booking journal entries, performing account reconciliation and performing account analysis; booking unrealized and realized activity, payment in kind and cash interest receivables, original issue discounts, and capitalized expenses; entity consolidation knowledge, preparing and reviewing the combined financial statements of a parent company and numerous subsidiaries, and including intercompany reconciliations; foreign currency, including experience with of derivative contracts, booking unrealized and realized FX activity, and translation of foreign currencies to the U.S. dollar. Must have one (1) year of experience with a private equity software solution, such as Investran, and utilizing the solution to run data queries; and Microsoft Excel, including experience performing vlookup, pivot table, go seek functions and other advanced Excel functions.
