Senior Sales Executive Engineering and Product Design (Remote)
The Product Design Sales team is seeking a remote Sales Executive in the Houston area. The Executive will be responsible for sales and account development within a geographic territory, local to the rep. The territory will include an existing set of active customers currently under annual subscription agreement, and new prospect opportunities.

This remote position calls for a driven person who thrives on winning, understanding the business challenges of your prospects, and clearly communicating the value of this solution to various client audiences across multiple verticals.

Product Design assists those in the technical and related professions to effectively and efficiently address their fields' challenges by way of an extensive collection of engineering and technical references, combined with patented question-answer search technology and uniquely targeted analytical tools. IHS Markit also helps R&D and engineering departments gain competitive advantage by delivering critical information that includes standards and other applied engineering knowledge in a single platform.

Responsibilities :
  • Account management & development
  • New business prospecting & pursuit
  • Territory & major account planning
  • Forecasting

  • B.A Degree
  • At least 5 years of solution selling experience (Closing large and complex sales).
  • Track record of accomplishment, and consistent performance.
  • Experience selling into discreet manufacturing / R&D / Engineering ideal.
  • Ability to articulate value proposition composed of technology and content.
  • Comfortable in virtual team; complex and fast paced organization.
  • Proficiency with sales automation tools.

Other Skills:
  • High quality presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with and sell to senior level management.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
