Remediation Specialist

Your technical and IT Risk expertise will also be leveraged to ensure accountability and provide a consistent approach to IT Security and Risk governance effectiveness by improving our ability to design, deliver, and execute controls in compliance with centrally driven controls programs.
Sustained Engineering Team is responsible for driving our evolution to a modernized Infrastructure Environment. The team includes end-to-end engineering and operations of our heritage systems and products as well as production management activities, including incident, problem, change and crisis management processes, and asset lifecycle management.

The Sustained Engineering Remediation Specialist will implement remediation solutions for technology gaps in the Network, Storage and Infrastructure Lifecycle Management teams (NS&I).
  • Support all NS&I remediation activities ensuring appropriate, timely and complete resolution
  • Document NS&I technology gap findings and review with Sustained Engineer manager along with key stakeholders and provide accurate remediation metrics
  • Participate in strategic programs for automated data collection techniques to increase ability to self-identify technology gaps
  • Participate in ongoing analysis of loss, near miss and external events to help identify root causes and implement evergreen solutions to address them
  • Execute NS&I solutions are designed to be continuously in synch with JPMC policies and standards, and the centralized operating environment
  • Develop and maintain strong business and technology relationships, becoming a trusted partner to all stakeholders
This position is anticipated to require the use of one or moreHigh Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject toenhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks,and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on anannual basis thereafter. The enhanced screening will need to be successfullycompleted prior to commencing employment or assignment.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in product and infrastructure support
  • Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met
  • Executes within a customer-centric environment
  • Exposure to IT Risk and Process frameworks, including: COSO, COBIT, NIST, Cyber Security Horizontal Reviews, ITIL
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) expected and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), or other technical designation considered necessary to be successful.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience of cyber security controls, technology governance and risk assessments.
  • Strong infrastructure technical knowledge covering controls related to distributed technologies, operating systems, database platforms and networks.
