Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international commodities trading company seeking a Sales Manager for their Chemicals division. The company's chemical product portfolio includes solvents, glycols intermediates, acetyls, plastics and inorganic chemicals.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for sales of commodity chemicals (such as acetyls, solvents, intermediates, caustic soda / chlor-alkali products) in assigned geographical territory in Central America and/or the Caribbean. Target markets include Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic.
  • Responsible for effectively managing customer accounts and maintaining relationships in the region
  • Identifying opportunities for new business and expanding sales channels. Maximizing existing business with current customer base
  • Working closely with teams in procurement, logistics and operations
  • Attend and represent company at business conferences and trade events

Key Qualifications / Experience
  • 2-5 years' experience in a sales or trading position in commodity chemicals
  • Experience with products such as acetyls, solvents, intermediates, inorganic chemicals and glycols
  • An established network of customers in Central America and/or the Caribbean
  • Strong business development, communication and negotiation skills
  • Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Chemistry or related field would be an asset. MBA would also be an advantage
  • Located flexible - Home office and remote working can be considered
