Manager(s) (Houston, TX)

Responsibilities: Participate in the execution of external audit engagements of various clients, including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants, including billing, fee analysis. and new service development. Develop audit programs, working papers, and internal audit reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) 404. Participate in review of financial statements and disclosures and management reports. Assist in preparing risk assessments and annual audit plans. Research technical accounting issues.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00am – 5:00pm)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or foreign equivalent in Accounting or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the offered position or in a related occupation. Employer will accept a master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience. CPA license required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Up to 20% travel to various locations per business need. Two years of experience must include U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and PCAOB auditing standards; evaluating and testing the design and effectiveness of internal controls, including relevant risk assessment; and performing business process review to identify risks and conducting attestation engagements based on relevant auditing standards.
