Job Purpose

This position will need to work in the Frisco, TX, Alpharetta, GA, or Charlotte, NC office. The preferred location is the Frisco, TX office.

What does a great Senior Business Analyst - Deposits-Lending do?

You will drive requirements gathering sessions in project meetings with development teams and clients, bringing a new solution to market. You will have an opportunity to work with cross-functional client stakeholders to complete application worksheets and customizations scoping. This is a key role focused on championing and establishing product requirements and ensuring that the organization is prepared for new products and product launches. You will also interact with Team Leadership as well as multiple Subject Matter Experts to draw out business requirements, create and functional and design documents, and prepare all necessary User Interface designs (wireframes).

For internal purposes, the business title for this role is Business Analyst, Advisory.

As a Senior Business Analyst - Deposits-Lending, you can look forward to:
  • Formulating and defining Business Requirements & Use Cases
  • Creating collateral such as reference docs, user guides, etc. in support of the products and solutions
  • Documenting functional requirements and determining complexity of work for applicable projects
  • Working with Solutions Consultants and Solutions Architects to create proposal documents and requirements templates
  • Providing analysis to resolve production issues Support and/or perform User Acceptance Test (UAT)
  • Participating in product demos and requirements process
  • Participating in Agile development activities such as stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospective, continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration; serve as ScrumMaster
  • Gathering and documenting requirements and high-level estimates for defect fixes and enhancements
  • Working with cross-functional client stakeholders to complete application worksheets and customizations scoping.
  • Working closely with Technical, QA and Business Teams in explaining the requirements and providing functional guidance/answers
  • Researching, gathering, articulating, refining and documenting business/technical requirements
  • Creating and managing the progress of Product backlog Items
  • Attending and recording discussions for regular project meetings
  • Documenting and executing acceptance criteria
  • Working with various tools to create business requested data / reports
  • Acting as a liaison between Developers, Operations, and Product Management
  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of Company standard development tools, programming languages, system design concepts, and analysis techniques
  • Analyzing client reported issues and helping Support Team in designing/implementing and testing fixes.
  • Conducting preliminary functional testing
  • Preparing Help/Support Documentation for new features/fixes
  • Using TFS to manage Sprints create Sprints, coordinate with the Scrum Team to assign/update tasks. Participate & Contribute in functional framework discussions
  • Serve as primary product expert
  • Completing special assignments and projects as requested
Youre the kind of person who:

Has at least 5 years or business or systems analysis experience. You have core banking, demand deposit accounts (DDA)/deposits and/or lending industry experience You thrive in a fast paced and evolving environment. Basic qualifications for consideration:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Business or Systems analysis experience including some involving large, complex software solutions
  • Core banking, demand deposit accounts (DDA)/deposits and/or lending industry experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science Degree
  • Expertise with multiple banking channels (for example, online, mobile, teller banking, etc.)
  • Microsoft SQL server experience
  • A working knowledge understanding of web-based and middleware technologies (J2EE, XML)
  • Scrum Methodology
  • TFS/JIRA experience
