Job Description

This role will be responsible for monitoring the health of inventory in the US for both domestic and international locations. This role will take point on ensuring that inventory nearing the expiration date is destroyed timely and with the correct cost center, all possible solutions are exhausted prior to material destruction, and that material does not linger on QA hold or blocks for an extended period. Other role accountabilities include:
Identify products in the US that are nearing expiration and facilitate destruction
Identify made-to-order products that are that are not shipping timely and work with the plants/APL to get material shipped, destroyed or donated
Coordinate with plants to determine what product needs to be destroyed and what entity/cost center should absorb those costs (root cause)
Coordinate monthly Material Destruction Review Committee meetings where pending/disputed Material Destruction Requests will be discussed and driven to resolution
Coordinate with Medical Missions on product that is nearing its expiration date to see if it can be donated rather than destroyed
Execute and distribute accurate International Inventory report
Responsible for the creation of new international inventory reports/data pulls
Serve as point of contact for material destruction
Identify problems and take action to correct without direct instruction from Supervisor
