Vice President (Small Loan Operations)

Position Summary
The Vice President is responsible for planning and directing operations and product management to improve productivity and efficiency of the Hunt Mortgage Group's Small Lending Group programs.
The Vice President must make informed recommendations to the Small Lending Group's senior management and assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. The Vice President shall analyze process, procedures, market opportunities and other functions that are accretive to the success and expansion of the platform.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Formulate and implement departmental policies and procedures to improve output and efficiency.
  • Monitor performance of quality and quantity of employee output.
  • Responsible for aiding in training originators on SBL lending products.
  • Assist business head and Chief/Deputy Chief Underwriters in maintaining operational efficiencies through pipeline management reporting and communication to operational staff.
  • Coordinate or assist Small Lending Group's senior management with agencies, marketing, transaction management, IT (closer, salesforce, midas, etc.), vendors, and various other parties to ensure SBL specific initiatives are implemented in a timely manner
  • Interface with asset management, servicing, technology, and other internal constituents to drive reporting, monitoring, and performance enhancements
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Finance, Business or Real Estate or related field required, required with strong credentials.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Seven to ten years of experience real estate lending, preferably in an agency related position
  • Experience with loan processing/operations and originations preferred
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of small balance real estate lending.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and financial statements.
  • Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
  • Applicable knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
