The business is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Specialist to join the Strategic Software Development group.  The main responsibilities for the position are as follows:

  • Develop and troubleshoot highly complex SQL procedures and functions
  • Build and maintain SSIS packages
  • Develop and maintain data interfaces with various 3rd party applications
  • Perform analysis and database tuning
  • Develop recommendations for database design and prepare detailed specifications
  • Develop SQL Server Reporting Services reports
  • Work closely with business community and provide ad hoc data support

The ideal candidate must have:

  • 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server.
  • In-depth knowledge of database design and constructs.
  • Experience maintaining data interfaces with various 3rd party applications.
  • Keen customer focus, relationship-building skills, and the ability to deliver commitments on a timely basis.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve problems and make decisions independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

In addition, the following experience would be preferred:

  • IT experience in Accounting or Financial Services industry
  • Working knowledge of ASP.NET web development
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
