About the Role:
We are looking for a versatile Sr. IT Portfolio Manager to select and prioritize projects with the strategic direction, collaborates with the resource managers to assign resources to the projects, and manages requirements between different projects in the portfolio. The Sr. Portfolio Manager, in collaboration with Business Relationship Management team, has insight into all projects, customer demand, while always monitoring the portfolio to ensure it is achieving strategic goals of ITS. You will report to the Sr. Manager, IT Operations.
Guide the portfolio management processes (including demand intake) to ensure strategic agreement on technologies and business goals
Develop reporting metrics and portfolio dashboards to provide oversight of projects, manage interdependencies, and recommend best path forward
Manage project/product selection and process with Dallas ITS, System IT, and customers` strategic direction
Determine resource assignments and associated budgets in collaboration with the resource manager for the portfolio, allowing ITS management team to navigate essential resource constraints and make the best use of Dallas ITS resources
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Seven years of general IT experience or equivalent work experience to include five or more years of direct Project/Product Portfolio management experience
Prior program management experience across multiple departments is desired
Certificated Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) or Certificated Project Management or Program Management Professional preferred
Experience interviewing and collecting data from multiple teams across the organization
Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements
