Accounting Services is a dynamic team responsible for ensuring governance with firm policy and execution of various cash settlement and reporting activities for the firm's corporate and real estate investing entities.


  • Coordination of workloads across local and regional teams for the settlement and funding of transactional and payment activity in adherence with firm & regulatory policies
  • Accounting and reporting for transactional taxes associated with vendor payments to tax department or regional tax authorities
  • Review, maintenance and approval of reference data and transactional activity in compliance with firm payment and vendor management policies
  • Oversee and execute the performance of control functions, ensuring the completion and integrity of control processes
  • Ensure proper application of risk management tools for effective risk management on the daily operational tasks managed by the team
  • Recommend & implement corrective & preventive actions to mitigate operational errors and incidents
  • Review and enhance current processes to realize efficiency and to better manage embedded risk
  • Be an active participant/contributor on process improvement efforts including technology changes
  • Liaise with the divisional stakeholders to communicate department strategy and act as a point of escalation
  • Enhance and evolve the functional risk management framework, processes and infrastructure

  • Manage relationships across the firm to ensure an inclusive and strategic approach to projects and challenges
  • Taking responsibility for the correct execution and management of the functions, providing oversight and guidance to the team
  • Taking a lead in key project deliveries for the team as we evolve to meet new business requirements
  • Actively assist to develop an overall payments strategy as the industry evolves alongside our new business needs. The ideal individual will assist the management team to build our next generation payment capabilities and operational support model


  • Bachelor's degree with approximately 4 years of experience in a team environment
  • Fundamental understanding of payment controls and practices, vendor governance and tax compliance
  • Risk management and familiarity with US tax regulations including 1099 and 1042 reporting
  • Good teamwork skills and ability to work with a wide user group in different regions of the world
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and able to work well under pressure
  • Good PC skills (Word, Excel); experience of accounting systems will be added advantage
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment and positively interact with various levels of management
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast moving environment. Team oriented approach to sharing workload and leverage skill sets
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to cope with rapidly changing priorities throughout the day are essential
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to generate creative solutions to problems and challenge processes, be willing to dig into the detail to resolve issues
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of accounts payable activities including vendor data management, invoice settlement and tax reporting
  • Ability to speak and/or read Spanish and/or Portuguese necessary for supporting the firm's businesses across Latin America markets
