We are looking for a talented and highly-motivated Surveillance and Industry Analysis Intern to join the Banking Supervision Department for the 2020 2021 academic year. The candidate will gain valuable experience supporting Supervisory Risk and Surveillance programs and contribute to monitoring the commercial banking sector and financial markets by maintaining and developing analytical products.You Will :
Conduct research and prepare reports on banking conditions
Assist with the update and/or creation of financial market and banking condition surveillance products
Contribute data analysis and charts for financial market monitoring
Participate in risk meetings and related organizational functions
Work with department management on special projects and other time-sensitive assignments
Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work in groups
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Some programming experience required (e.g. SAS, R, Python, SQL, Matlab)
Bloomberg and/or Tableau experience preferred
Student must be pursuing a graduate (preferably in their first year) degree in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field with a GPA of 3.0 or better
Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements

This is a part-time internship for the 2020 - 2021 academic year located in the Dallas office. Interns will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week with flexibility to accommodate class schedule. Interns will be responsible for any relocation and housing expenses.
Employment is contingent upon the selected candidate passing a background check and drug screen.
Candidates will be required to submit at least three references and submit fingerprints prior to employment.
