    Position Summary

    The Experienced Analyst, Global Proposals plays a critical role in Bain’s Performance Improvement Practice by owning and performing quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of Bain’s ability to deliver outstanding commercial results in Cost Transformation. In addition to providing analytical expertise to commercial efforts, the Experienced Analyst, Global Proposals will lead the development of tools to improve and track commercial outcomes. Over time, the analyst is expected to develop broad knowledge of Bain’s Cost Transformation toolkit, assume larger intellectual and team roles, and demonstrate a steady upward trajectory in the depth and scope of his/her contributions.

    Essential Functions

    • Provide next-level support for priority clients
      • Leverage expertise, gained from experience, to conduct custom analytics for specific commercial efforts
    • Own key components of Solution/Product proposals
      • Suggest latest, greatest qualifications, references, advisors
      • Manage subset of ecosystem relationships
      • Identify and suggest the right reference clients and advisors for each proposal
    • Manage and lead ongoing tailoring and maintenance of baseline microsite for practice
      • Collaborate with Solution/Product PAM on initial microsite
      • Keep qualifications, references, SKU, and ecosystem recommendation evergreen
      • Tailor microsite for highest priority clients (show, don’t tell experience)
    • Generate insights based on competitive intelligence
      • Leverage quantitative expertise to generate and communicate insights
      • Track win-loss data and competitive data (bake-off vs. referrals) (work with Capability team – if tracked at capability level)
      • Identify and measure other key metrics to track
      • Synthesize lessons learned into future proposals/go to market plan for priority clients
      • Supports debrief calls – tracking, notes, synthesizing insights
      • Own and maintain reference/promoter database

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor or equivalent undergraduate degree with strong academic credentials
    • 3-5  years of experience in a professional services firm environment with exposure to consulting preferred
    • Ability to juggle multiple priorities at one time
    • Track record of managing and improving complex processes, with flawless attention to detail and very strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Proven ability to make sound business decisions in high-pressure situations
    • A team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, and customer service orientation
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience designing and executing complex analyses and modeling in Excel
    • Proficient with PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
    • Strong analytics background
    • Domain-specific expertise (e.g., knowledge of financial statements for Cost Transformation team)

    Preferred

    • Exposure to financial analysis, accounting, or consulting preferred (Master in Accounting ideal)
