Account Executive
General Summary
Our expanding Sales team requires a highly motivated Account Executive to support our Senior Account Executives. This role positions the individual for outstanding career growth within IHS Markit.

Roles and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will support Senior Account Executives and will be responsible for the day-to-day account activities for existing and new clients who purchase products from the IHS Markit automotive portfolio.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain business opportunities in Salesforce.com
  • Track current jobs and follow-up with production team to obtain status
  • Coordinate with vendors as required
  • Prepare and submit monthly billing
  • Monitor current contracts and assist with the preparation of new contracts
  • Work with Product managers to obtain pricing for new business and renewal contracts
  • Maintain current sales forecast 
  • Coordinate weekly status meetings with senior account executives
  • Prepare and submit sales/activity reports as required utilizing Salesforce.com
  • Responsible for all administrative work
  • Develop knowledge of IHS Markit Automotive products and capabilities
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as requested by management
Relationships/Contacts
  • Works closely with sales and production teams, management, customers, other cross-functional teams and vendors
Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position does not supervise anyone
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or higher and/or equivalent work experience
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a sales support capacity role
  • Knowledge in all MS Office applications
  • Highly organized and capable of effectively prioritizing tasks
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Successful team experience working with multiple colleagues & cross-functional teams
Other skills
  • Must have the ability to interact professionally with both clients and peers
  • Must have the ability to work under moderate supervision and handle multiple tasks
  • Must be reliable and able to work under pressure
  • Must be cooperative and able to work in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented
Working Conditions
  • Collaborative Office Environment
  • Very limited travel
