Compliance Specialist
    Compliance Specialist Job Description

Maintain current knowledge of Continuing Education rules and keep thorough records of how these rules change over time.

  • Research, interpret, and document all continuing education rules using regulator websites and publications.
  • Work with other rule work team members to discuss, document, and strategize rule work implementations.
  • Identify areas where published rules and documentation are unclear or open to interpretation. Once confirmed, ensure various platforms are updated accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain personal contacts at each regulator where necessary to further research rules for clarity.
  • Verify currency of each regulator
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Advise others in the business on the implications of Continuing Education rules. 

  • Advise on the selection of new regulators for inclusion in the software.
  • Advise on new features of the software based on changes in regulation.
  • Advise various internal stakeholders on various requirements for awarding CPE credit across the TAX and Account industry especially any TR sponsorship.
  • Advise on the use of regulatory deadlines and changes in product marketing.
  • Assist with other projects as requested

Maintain various TR learning sponsorships or memberships in the CPE for Tax and Accounting industry by working with various product and business stakeholders to renew and maintain compliance.


  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • 2+ years experience in conducting research in accounting, law, or related field.
  • 5 years experience in a similar function
  • Inquisitive approach.
  • Ability to understand complex logic and express it in multiple formats.
  • Ability to program using XML is preferred.
  • Thorough attention to detail; strong communication skills; ability to follow through; ability to prioritize work flow.
