Summer Intern - Talent Development & Culture Austin, TX/en-US/Q2/job/Austin-TX/Summer-Intern---Talent-Development---Culture_REQ-3439/apply

We are seeking a Talent Development and Culture Intern to join the Q2 People Team. During this internship you will collaborate closely with a global team of Human Resources professionals, internal partners/other stakeholders and senior leadership. Your day-to-day exposure includes developing policies and procedures, providing and presenting analysis and recommendations for crucial issues that will drive the direction of our workforce.

The Q2 Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. In addition to your daily work, you will be given the opportunity for weekly classroom trainings with Sr. Leadership, off-site activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program.

POSSIBLE PROJECTS INCLUDE:

  • Develop a strategy and executable plan for the rollout of market specific talent branding initiatives
  • Develop an analysis of the implications, both qualitative and quantitative of building new teams in given global markets
  • Develop recommendations for the centralization and deployment of a contingent workforce
  • Set up the new hire desks before the employees first day
  • Ensure that paperwork is received from new hires during New Hire Orientation
  • Develop strategy and executable plans for global culture events
  • Develop new ideas on how to further enhance the candidate experience from application to hire in our global markets such as Bangalore, London and Sydney
  • In partnership with our Culture Champion, create a strategy to shape programs to curate an amazing professional collection of key moments that matter throughout the employee journey (i.e. joining Q2, being promoted, etc.)
  • Consult and contribute to ad-hoc People & Culture initiatives

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

Required Skills:

  • Pursuing an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting or relevant field of study
  • Up to 2 years experience within any of the following areas: Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or similar functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present and articulate ideas in a precise and concise manner
  • Analytical mindset Must be able to think creatively, take ownership of tasks and adapt to changing business requirements

  • Passion for human capital management
  • High level of accountability and integrity
  • Ability to build strong relationships working with cross functional teams
  • Comfortable with executive-level management interaction
  • Ability to multitask and navigate through ambiguity
  • Motivated self-learner with the passion and follow through to acquire new skills
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference
