How will you invent the future?
As a Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) Technical Leader at Merck's Austin IT HUB, you will be part of inventing tomorrow. Our Innovative centers are where great people come together and deliver solutions that save and improve lives.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Work as part of a DevOps & Continuous Delivery team.
Engage with key business stakeholders around the world to build various components of BPC functionality.
Work with Solution Architects to develop BPC enhancements or break-fixes.
Write technical documentation including, but not limited to high level architecture diagrams, automation specifications, and test plans.
Deploy BPC functionality, enhancements, and improvements for financial reporting.
Help solve problems by processing real word data to enable advanced analytics that can drive faster decision making.
 Job Requirements: Qualifications


Bachelors Degree in IT, Finance, Computer Science, or related field

A minimum of at least 5 years of BPC / financial systems experience.
Lead large scale, global projects and initiatives,
Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and technical staff at all levels and in geographically diverse locations.

Understanding of Accounting / Financial Analysis.
Previous experience with financial systems.
Understanding the financial close process.
Understanding budgeting and forecasting concepts.
End-to-end SW development experience including operational support
