TheEmployee Relations Center of Expertise (ER CoE) has an opening for an EmployeeRelations Manager in El Paso, TX. The ER CoE supports the Human ResourcesBusiness Partners (HRBPs) in integrating business and HR strategies in order todrive business results. This position will support clients in Technology.

Reportingto the Director of Employee Relations, the successful candidate will work withthe entire ER CoE, HRBPs, and the business to handle employee relationsmatters. The incumbent will collaborate with HRBPs and partner with businessleaders and employees to provide guidance and consultation including, but notlimited to, performance coaching/counseling, conflict resolution, disciplinaryaction, and policy interpretation and application. This position will play akey role in day to day risk mitigation, as well as use data analytics toidentify trends and recommend interventions.

In this role, the individual will:

Be an objective and trusted advisor for HRBPs, employees and management;
Conduct HR investigations, including, but not limited to: unfair managementpractices, favoritism, bullying, hostile work environment, etc., (This rolewill not conduct legally-related investigations e.g. include Title VIIallegations);
Partner with management to handle performance counseling, attendancecounseling, policy violation and conduct related cases, including disciplinaryrecommendations. This role includes the drafting of disciplinary letters,talking points and other necessary materials in working with management;
Provide guidance and direction to managers on employment issues and relatedlaws including, but not limited to: disability, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRA, etc.;
Partner and consult with other internal areas (e.g., Employment Law,Accommodations Unit, Integrated Disability Management Unit, etc.,) to ensurereview, assessment, and recommendations on employee absence situations complywith federal, state, and local laws, as well as company practice;
Support management at employee meetings as needed, including performance,attendance and conduct terminations;
· Provide thorough and timely documentation in the ER CoEs case managementtracking tool;

Provide direction, and/or guidance to employees and managers to helpfacilitate and/or resolve human resource issues (e.g.,departmental/management/employee conflicts, etc.);
Consult with management and employees regarding work environment and climateconcerns;
Proactively identify and analyze data to identify ER trends and patterns thatwill assist the HRBPs in their strategic work with leadership to create aunique and compelling culture. Develop action plans and recommend interventionsto effectively address issues, where appropriate. Conduct focus groups, climateassessment, etc., in support of the action plan;
Lead and/or participate in ER CoE internal projects;
Represent the ER CoE on projects/committees that may be part of an HR orbusiness initiative;
Create and facilitate formal and informal training on employee relationsmatters such as performance counseling, harassment and discrimination;
Handle and respond to complex HR policy/practice issues. Occasionally assistin the development, implementation or rollout of new policies and procedures.

5+ years of Human Resourcesexperience in a corporate environment, including conducting ER investigations,partnering and coaching leaders on performance management, and analyzing trendsin employment data and recommending solutions;

Strong preference forindividuals whose HR expertise is focused mainly on employee relations ( i.e.working in an employee relations center of excellence)

Strong working knowledge ofstate and federal employment laws including but not limited to, FMLA, ADA,FLSA, NLRA, Title VII, etc.;

Superior relationshipmanagement skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and partner wellwith others in order to build strong and trusting relationships;

Strong initiative and solidjudgment abilities/skills; must display a balanced, objective approach andsound judgment when recommending a course of action or handling aninvestigation;

Ability to work independentlyand with a sense of urgency;

Ability to provide anindependent point of view on people and issues while having the courage andsensitivity to deliver tough messages to leaders and employees;

Demonstrated effectiveproblem-solving and decision-making skills;

Strong influencing skills whenrecommending and implementing solutions with business partners;

Ability to handle sensitiveand confidential information appropriately;

Project management skills andability to juggle and prioritize multiple responsibilities;

Excellent analytical skillswith an attention to detail;

Demonstrated ability to handlemultiple priorities and produce results;

Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills with a disciplined approach to case documentation;

Proficient with MicrosoftOffice software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

Ability to travel, on alimited basis, as needed;

Ability to work and/or beavailable after normal working hours;
