Personal Investing (PI) Analyst for Legal Entity and Management Reporting

Personal Investing Finance is looking for an energetic financial analyst to provide insights on the financial results of Personal Investing and of its key legal entities. This analysis will support financial and capital planning and reporting and aid decision making by senior management.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience within the Financial Services industry
  • A thorough understanding of financial/accounting principles and systems

The Purpose of Your Role

The PI Central Finance team oversees budgeting and planning and financial decision support for Personal Investing senior management. You will be a key contributor to the team, partnering with business and finance teams across Fidelity to produce well-grounded and easily-understood analyses.

The Value You Deliver

  • Performing financial and statistical variance analyses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to understand the financial performance of Personal Investing and its key legal entities, Fidelity Brokerage Services and Fidelity Personal Trust Company. Analyze business drivers and their impact on financial results.
  • Creating annual budgets and regular forecasts on behalf of Personal Investing and its primary legal entities.
  • Completing certain month-end accounting responsibilities for Personal Investing, such as revenue and expense accruals, cost allocations, and account reconciliation and substantiation.
  • Assessing capital adequacy of Fidelity Brokerage Services and of Fidelity Personal Trust Company and taking action where appropriate
  • Understanding the financial accounting and regulatory impact of new business initiatives
  • Reviewing accounting structure and provide input on needs for new accounts and cost centers.
  • Perform and create ad hoc reports and analysis, as necessary
