Sr. Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions

Overview:
Based in Purchase, NY, the Senior Analyst, Corporate Development and M&A will be part of the Strategy, Corporate Development and M&A team within Worldwide Finance and will report to the Vice President, Corporate Development and M&A. The Sr. Analyst will be an integral member of a team of Corporate Development professionals centralized at Mastercard's headquarters that leads all M&A and investment activity globally. The Sr. Analyst will assist in driving strategic acquisitions and investments by partnering with global business units to identify, evaluate and execute M&A transactions in support of Mastercard's global strategy.

Role:
•Research industry to identify investment and acquisition opportunities across geographies to support Mastercard's strategy
•Collaborate with global business units, regions and market management to develop build, partner and buy mapping
•Provide support for all phases of a robust acquisition process (valuation against comparable transactions, due diligence, preliminary integration planning, etc.)
•Create business case and valuation models for acquisitions and equity investments
•Coordinate internal and external resources for acquisition due diligence
•Assist with creating and populating acquisition deliverables such as presentations to senior executives and Board of Directors, deal closing approvals, etc.
•Provide support for on-going financial monitoring of investments

All About You
•Bachelor's Degree required
•Prior M&A, Investment Banking, Corporate Development or Transaction Advisory experience highly preferred
•Knowledge of payments, financial services or related areas a plus
•Strong analytical skills including financial modeling, accounting and valuation experience
•Solid understanding of financial concepts such as DCF, NPV, IRR, etc.
•Detail oriented with excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
