Sales Support Desk Analyst - Institutional Wealth Services

The Sales Support Desk is responsible for the support and promotion of Morgan Stanley Institutional Wealth Services. This is achieved by working closely with Financial Advisors, third party retirement plan record keepers and Defined Contribution-Investment Only ( DCIO ) asset managers. The Sales Support Desk provides sales, marketing, service, and proposed solutions support for Financial Advisors and their prospects or clients including assistance with product selection and plan design considerations.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Field incoming calls from Financial Advisors by providing world-class level of service
ü Provide Financial Advisors with technical information regarding the different types of IWS services offered through Morgan Stanley and our approved vendors
ü Produce sales leads through Financial Advisor interaction during inbound calls in support of selling campaigns
· Support outbound calling campaigns to Financial Advisors on product offerings to promote sales
ü Partner with Institutional Wealth Services' team in the discovery process in managing requests received from Advisors to drive sales
ü Produce sales leads through Financial Advisor interaction during outbound calls in support of selling campaigns
· Become a product expert on all Institutional Wealth Services products available through the Morgan Stanley platform
· Participate in the creation and assist in the implementation of new sales ideas
· Deliver proactive communication with Financial Advisors regarding priorities set by IWS to assist and support the onboarding process
· Proficiently deliver department's sales presentation


· Detail oriented with an ability to handle multiple priorities
· Flexibility and adaptability with capacity to work efficiently under pressure
· Strong phone skills
· Ability to identify, manage and escalate issues to full resolution
· The skill to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
· Skill to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
· Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external resources, vendors as well as other departments
· Solid verbal and written communication skills required to properly relay advice
· Capability to work from home in support of Continuity of Business

· 3-5 years of experience in Retirement Services or related industry preferred
· Series 7 and 66 required or ability to pass exam within 180 days of hire date
· Familiarity with Morgan Stanley infrastructure and the systems that support the business
· Knowledge of Institutional Wealth Services products
· Demonstrated experience working with Financial Advisors

Educational Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree preferred
