Job Title

Director, Project Management, Real Time Payments - Program Management

The Project Management Director role is responsible for the implementation and delivery of complex/large/important programs to Mastercard clients. This role integrates the several projects which form a program, from several areas internal to Mastercard (Products, O&T, Franchise, Marketing, Interchange, Risk, etc). By having this integrated view from the entire project (A to Z) this role consolidates and oversees the execution as the single point of contact for that specific program (Specifically TCH). Strong team management abilities, project management skills, problem resolution and ability to speak to senior executives on progress of the program are key required abilities (not only within Mastercard but with clients as well). A technical/operations background is a plus although a broad set of skills (Marketing, Products, Projects, etc) is the most important to execute well. This role will report to the Vocalink Delivery Project Office Lead.

This Customer Delivery (Vocalink) market based role, ensures the well planned and timely delivery of Mastercard's Real Time Payments Products & Services to Customers. Working cooperatively with numerous regional Mastercard functions, this individual is critical to the successful deployment of Mastercard Real Time Payment solutions within the North America region.

The Key focus areas are: Program management, Project cost controls against business case estimates, chairing Steerco and Operating committee meetings, driving project governance and manage project reporting outputs for to all stakeholders. Point of escalation on project tasks with the relevant stakeholders. Managing project scope, milestones, risk log and issues log.

Major Accountabilities:
•Ensure robust program management, project performance management and output quality across all sub projects linked to the overall program
•Responsible for representing Delivery as Program Manager and Chair at the Steerco and Operating Committee project meetings
•Responsible for creating, running and managing all aspects of change to the appropriate framework, Implementing appropriate program risk management and maintaining appropriate controls to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal governance requirements
•Accountable for the oversight of the budget(s), plan(s) and deliverables
•Stakeholder Management; responsible for building productive relationships with key portfolio stakeholders
•Enabling priority based decisions to be made depending on the business needs and scope of the program
•Ensure full adoption and usage (inclusive of adherence) of Vocalink planning Tools such PlanView, JIRA, Oracle and other tool across the Vocalink estate.

All About You:
•Understanding of Mastercard/Payment products and services at a high level
•Extensive, proven project management, problem solving and planning skills with a demonstrated record of success managing multiple projects with external and internal clients simultaneously, is required
•Understand Customer/Vendors/Schemes needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape.
•Experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions
•Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and business information in an easy to understand manner
•Proven background in change and program management and delivery
•Must be used to managing multiple projects are operating concurrently across multiple locations.
•Strong decision making skills
•Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
•Ability to think strategically and understand the impact and risk of decisions to the wider VocaLink Mastercard
Travel Requirements:
•Travel is required on an intermittent basis within North America and to the UK, when necessary
