Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Generate structured solutions and provide advice on strategic hedging recommendations (for cross asset and liability market risk management) to corporate, financial and project finance clients in Mexico. Develop complex presentations and financial models using internal pricing tools as well as MS Excel and Power Point. Coordinate pricing of complex derivatives and analyze the relevant risk factors associated with it. Establish new and build existing client relationships in the Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate hedging space with corporate and financial entities in Mexico and other Latin American countries. Lead and coordinate legal negotiations, client onboarding, and credit discussions related to executing derivatives with clients. Coordinate with other internal teams, such as Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions to include risk management solutions in client dialogue. Manage live deal execution dealing with trading, confirmations, and settlements departments, as well as the client. Present to client CFOs and Treasury teams on topics such as Rates, FX & Macroeconomic Market Updates, derivatives product specifics and valuation considerations. Identify market-driven hedging opportunities for clients including Cash Flow, Fair Value and Net Investment hedging. Lead, guide, mentor and train Associates and Analysts while coordinating closely with internal and external senior team and executives.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Pricing and executing foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives, including Forwards, Options, Swaps and Cross Currency Swaps; Pricing credit, exposure, and valuation adjustments for financial derivatives; Building and maintaining a network of relationships with Mexican private and government-owned corporations and financial institutions; Utilizing financial concepts, such as market conventions, liquidity, and trends, to analyze the Mexican financial market; Sales and marketing lifecycle of hedging products, including experience developing and delivering presentations (using Excel and Powerpoint) to Mexican private and government-owned corporations and financial institutions, participating in legal negotiation with clients, onboarding clients, and maintaining client relationship; Leading, guiding, and training Associates and Analysts; and Navigating the regulatory landscape in Mexico. FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses required. Travel is required 30% of the time to attend client meetings in Mexico to discuss potential transactions.
