Position Description:

We are seeking a high-performing, experienced marketer for a leadership role on our Client Marketing team supporting the US Global Wealth Management (GWM) business. You will own and drive our account-based marketing (ABM) efforts focusing on audience segmentation, client journeys, and capability evolution in this unique opportunity.

Today, our account-based efforts are focused on supporting our clients by delivering highly personalized and relevant information that can help them run their practices and manage the products they own. Commonly called 'Growth Marketing,' this program has grown from a small pilot to a globally coordinated effort that has demonstrated measurable value. Our success has led to developing a sales enablement platform that will provide Sales with hands-on access to ABM campaigns while reducing the burden on manual execution processes.

In this role, you will build on the success of this initial pilot program and:
  • Build and lead account-based strategies and other data-driven marketing programs that effectively reach and engage priority US GWM client segments
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing Automation teams to build effective customer journeys for targeted client groups.
  • Partner with Technology, Digital, and Data teams on new technologies and capabilities that enable account-based strategies at scale
  • Focus on directly impacting the business, with the support of highly collaborative partners and a small, highly engaged team under your leadership

Responsibilities
  • Define, build and lead ABM strategies and programs designed to drive US GWM clients and prospects through the Sales & Marketing funnel
  • Develop a segmentation strategy that is actionable by Marketing and Sales teams and impactful to the business
  • Leverage the full range of marketing channels based on business objectives, data readiness, client preferences, and the overall client journey
  • Increase use of thoughtful personalization that maximizes the use of internal and external data
  • Architect orchestrated journeys for target client segments mapped to journey stages
  • Focus on programs and tactics that link client concerns to PIMCO solutions
  • Aim to reach industry standards, and over time, to stay ahead of industry trends
  • Define and build the model for ABM scale, building on the success of our Growth Marketing program today with a focus on platform enablement
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the day-to-day program manager
  • Help evolve beyond single emails to cross-channel, multi-step customer journeys
  • Work with Marketing Platforms, Technology, and Data teams to identify, evaluate, and roll out new capabilities
  • Inform the development of data analyses and models that improve our ability to reach and engage target client groups effectively (e.g., LTCV, Next Best Product, propensity models)
  • Collaborate with our paid media team to drive the digital strategy for ABM (digital ads, paid social, content syndication, etc.)
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to evolve (1) measurement metrics across all channels that define success and impact from account-based programs, and (2) reporting on performance with recommended actions for optimization
  • Understand how PIMCO's account-based strategies and programs benchmark against competitors and best-in-class examples outside the industry
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to build and share methodologies
  • Manage a team of two high-performing Associates


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 8 years of B2B marketing strategy, digital marketing and/or account-based marketing experience
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience across new and seasoned talent
  • Solid understanding of the Financial Advisor business model and / or experience in the financial services industry (Asset or Wealth Management preferred)
  • Significant experience with highly targeted marketing efforts, including persona-based segmentation and / or account-based marketing
  • Demonstrated experience with cross-channel marketing strategies (including digital) - working across data, design, content, technical builds, execution processes, and optimization
  • Experience with common Sales and Marketing platforms, including CRM, marketing automation, audience targeting, and data visualization
  • Experience partnering with Sales teams and building shared goals, strategies, and metrics
