RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Multiple positions available. Advise business and risk managers on pricing and risk management issues based on quantitative analytics and tools. Use models in the pricing of various fixed-income financial products including interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, bank loans, and mortgages. Build and maintain Return on Attributed Equity (RoAE) pricing models to help the business optimize profitability. Build and maintain mortgage pricing and hedging tools to analyze and hedge market risks for Private Wealth Management's (PWM) residential mortgage portfolio. Build and maintain liquidity term-structure models for deposit products of PWM clients using advanced mathematics. Build and maintain the real-time counter-party credit risk monitoring infrastructure to price complex financial products and simulate market conditions to determine potential loss.
Job Requirements: Ph.D. degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative analytical field plus two (2) years of experience in the offered role or a related position in financial services. Must have two (2) years of experience with: developing bank loan and mortgage pricing models; modeling counter-party credit risk; utilizing advanced statistical methods including time series analysis and stochastic calculus; performing multi-factor regression analyses for interpretation and prediction; implementing Monte-Carlo simulations to value financial products such as mortgages; solving stochastic differential equations to value and risk-manage financial products; programming in object-oriented languages for efficient model implementations; using SQL on relational databases to access and manipulate large amounts of data; and presenting complex technical analyses to business users and risk managers. FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses required.
