Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President in New York, New York

Provide leadership for the North American Funding Sales and Trading platform, which encompasses functions from Stock Loan and Secured Financing technologies. Work directly with business users in the front, middle, and back office to ensure front-to-back technical support for Firm and client flows. Assist with development of the next revolution of the Firm's Technology platform, working in conjunction with the businesses, developers, outside counterparties, and regularity bodies. Provide technical support to mission critical client facing applications. Apply technical skills to build automation to maintain production environments. Adopt and implement enterprise applications for application monitoring. Coordinate with development and business teams to obtain sign offs for functional testing, and participate in finalizing the deployment of new software in production. Automate daily support functions, improve system stability, drive hygiene initiatives, and deliver innovation to create efficiency and consistency.

Requirements :

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, Software Consultant, or related occupation in financial services information technology. The position requires five (5) years of experience with: working with financial products across multiple classes, including Equity and Fixed Income, providing Level 3 support for client-facing systems, and trade lifecycle management. Requires three (3) years of experience with: support for distributed applications for real-time locate processing; relational database support and data mining via SQL; Linux and Windows; batch management tools; ITIL processes, and industry standard enterprise application monitoring suites. Requires one (1) year of experience with: Trading and regulatory functions; disaster recovery planning and isolation test execution; Java/J2EE; industry-standard enterprise Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tools; source control management suite tools; system interfaces with DTC and clearing houses; Unix shell scripting; and Perl.
