RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Lead interactions with other technology teams to deploy appropriate technology solutions for settlement and payment functions. Design and develop complex application software, which builds functionality that interacts with existing applications and platforms. Systems are built using Java, C++, SQL databases, no-SQL caches, real-time messaging and service based architectures. Analyze business and operational processes and produce professional workflow and status diagrams for presentations and discussions. Provide oversight for other software developers within the global development team to validate software design and implementation, enforce robust tests, help formulate deployment strategies and ensure software is scalable, resilient and performant. Execute projects independently. Responsible for performance tuning and troubleshooting of issues, which applies across all application tiers and service-based application architectures. Conduct formal training and informal mentoring to more junior technology analysts.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Software design and development in both Java and C++; Business functions and operational processes involved with settlement and confirmation of derivative processes; Operational processes involving settlement and confirmation of FX and other derivative products, including experience with the FX settlement process using CLS, and electronic confirmations using SWIFT; Industry practices using external platforms, including Markitwire, DTCC and clearing houses, LCH, CME, EUREX for the front to back system integration and solution design; Developing software and making changes to large and complex real-time processing systems, which handle high transaction volumes under short timeframes; Working on Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems and scripting languages, such as Shell and Perl; User interface development using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Java Servlets, Jsp, web servers technologies; Databases for software development, adhoc reporting and data analysis; Software development lifecycle (SDLC) toolsets including but not limited to IDEs (Eclipse/IntelliJ), Subversion, Jenkins, Junit; Conducting testing with users and troubleshooting application issues to resolve problems; and Working through full SDLC processes, including interacting with users to elicit requirements, designing and developing application functionality, conducting direct user acceptance testing with users, and post-release production support.
