VP - Diversity & Inclusion

Location: New York, NY, USA

This position is responsible for supporting the execution of Moody's Diversity and Inclusion strategy. Specifically, this role will contribute to the development and implementation of Talent Management and D&I initiatives to develop and retain diverse talent and in support of Moody's growth business objectives. The individual will have deep, specialized knowledge and expertise on D&I practices including but not limited to women in leadership strategies, employee engagement strategies, change management and their successful implementation and measurement.
The role also entails developing and executing a global diversity education curriculum for managers and employees to ensure Moody's prepares managers to lead global and diverse teams. A core component of the role requires providing analysis and metrics on the workforce demographics, employee engagement and success measures for the D&I strategy in support of Moody's culture and reputation of being an Employer of Choice for all. The role reports to the Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion and will sit in New York.
Job responsibilities include:
• Build strong relationships with Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence ( COEs), Talent Acquisition teams and employees overall and develop a deep understanding of the organization's workforce diversity, culture, inclusiveness, and retention opportunities.
{C} • {C} Actively lead , participate and contribute to process improvement strategies, projects and initiatives, particularly as it relates to the Employee Engagement, Women in Leadership and the Education strategies
{C} • {C} Lead D&I Working teams (Education and Women in Leadership) of business champions to refine strategies as they relate to high-potential talent development programs
{C} • {C} Partner with CoEs to ensure D&I practices and messages are embedded in overall Talent Management and HR strategies/processes e.g., succession planning, performance management, HRIS, total rewards (benefits), talent acquisition, manager education, etc.
{C} • {C} Partner with HR Business Partners and Business Diversity Champions on strategy for effective implementation of initiatives in support of developing a diverse workforce and determining best way to support business and geography- specific challenges
{C} • {C} Pilot innovative, differentiated initiatives to address challenges and opportunities identified for global managers and the retention and growth of diverse talent - provide relevant data, analysis and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, org composition, promotions and development, hiring, and other activities
{C} • {C} Monitor effectiveness of diversity initiatives by utilizing KPI, metrics, and analytics and realign when necessary
{C} • {C} Proactively partner and engage with business leaders and HR Business Partners to discuss opportunities, challenges and forward looking plans as they pertain to culture and employee engagement
{C} • {C} Lead D&I leadership development efforts in support of talent management and culture the for first line officers, women, senior managers, working groups, etc.
{C} • {C} Implement strategy to drive operational excellence (disciplines) for the D&I function to be more efficient and consistent in its processes
{C} • {C} Serve as advisor and coach to D&I working groups and Business Diversity Champions
{C} • {C} Provide peer-coaching and guidance to D&I peers, HR team members, ERG co-chairs, etc.
{C} • {C} Build relationships with external diversity partner organizations to learn best practices and diversity strategies and monitor market and competitive trends

Moody's Shared Services - Diversity & Inclusion

- Bachelor's degreeor equivalent 4-year degree required; Master degree preferred.
{C} - {C} Deep subject matter expertise in the field of Diversity and Inclusion; experience with talent management processes a plus (succession planning, training development, performance review process)
{C} - {C} 10+ years of work experience, with 5+ years in a professional services environment preferred (ideally financialservices environment)
{C} - {C} Excellent oral and written communication skills.
{C} - {C} Stellar interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to command attentionand respect of senior level leaders.
{C} - {C} Experience in quantitative analysis and reporting, including, market research, trend analysis, benchmarking and opportunity identification and ability to translate metrics, research and trends into strategy.
{C} - {C} Highly driven with an action oriented, positive "can-do" approach.
{C} - {C} Proven delivery capabilities include a track record of setting a clear strategy, identifying key milestones, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and delivering against goals and objectives.
{C} - {C} Knowledge of and links to diverse community national organizations and institutions.
{C} - {C} Demonstrated facilitation, training, and team building skills.
{C} - {C} Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
{C} - {C} Strong project management and issue identification/resolution skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
