We Offer
The Equity Derivatives business within Credit Suisse Global Markets services a diverse global client base with core derivatives products such as listed and OTC options, structured notes, QIS, structured solutions and financing products. Our secondary markets businesses deliver value for our clients in order to satisfy a range of risk profiles and hedging needs. The Equity Derivatives Strategy team is responsible for producing timely market insights, quantitative analysis, and actionable trade ideas for major institutional clients.

Role Overview

The US options strategist will be responsible for the identification, development, and publication of compelling tactical trade ideas on single stock and macro catalysts using derivatives products. The strategist will work in close partnership with Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Equity Research. The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills and a good understanding of the needs of a wide range of clients.

The key aspects of the role include:
  • Research fundamental and quantitative signals to build long-and short-term trading strategies incorporating volatility products and options
  • Track potential volatility catalysts and sources of idiosyncratic risk for US large cap stocks
  • Identify the disconnects between option market sentiment vs underlying company fundamentals
  • Gauge and articulate secular trends and shifts that may potentially impact the expected level of volatility at the industry and sector level
  • Construct and backtest compelling option strategies to efficiently capture and monetize option market dislocations


You Offer

You offer:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with 3-10 years of experience within investment banking or financial services
  • Exposure to equity derivatives and financial securities with understanding of product types and risk profiles
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to liaise with all levels of clients, explain complex ideas and present findings to clients and senior management
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Proactive and able to learn quickly and independently
  • A track record of achievement and a genuine enthusiasm to learn
  • A good team player, with a proven ability to work across business lines and functions
