Global Trade Portfolio Management (GTPM) is responsible for all Global Trade related insurance, including Comprehensive Credit Insurance (CCI) and Credit Insured Accounts Receivable (CIAR). This entails capacity and markets reads, negotiating pricing and policy wording, maintaining requirements and updating limits. In addition to insurance, this role will be responsible for managing the IFC Portfolios, global initiatives that support trade in developing markets. This role will gain in-depth knowledge of Citi's structural capabilities, with a focus on Trade Finance and Export Agency Finance, and how a global trade business is managed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product manager for Comprehensive Credit Insurance (CCI) for Corporates and Financial institutions. CCI is used to increase the client's credit capacity, enhance FRR and RORC.
  • Partner with Global Trade Finance, Credit Insurance Risk Management (CIRM) and brokers to execute insurance on Credit Insured Accounts Receivable (CIAR) deal closings. Citi uses insurance to provide a receivables solution to the client through CIAR, a $2B+ business in Trade Finance. This product is an innovative trade product that has been emphasized by senior management. Insurance is a vital component to this structure and utilized to cover default risk from account debtors. GTPM is responsible for requesting market read, negotiating pricing and policy language. GTPM coordinates endorsements and manages on-risk coverage, monitors premiums payments and processes claims.
  • Manage the Global Trade Liquidity Program (GTLP), a multi-million USD facility with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) that supports trade by selling assets into the program. GTPM maintains the relationship with IFC and manages the portfolio by coordinating sales with local deal teams. GTPM is responsible for monitoring utilization rates and preparing status reports.
  • Handle the Global Trade Finance Program (GTFP) with IFC, a program that enables IFC to issue partial or full credit guarantees covering payment risk on banks in emerging markets for trade related transactions. GTPM maintains the relationship with IFC as well as the respective country deal teams. GTPM is responsible to ensure proper booking, maintenance of facility lines, and assure Citi skim is in line with the minimum threshold
  • Support the Export and Agency Finance (EAF) group as Facility Agent under the Export and Import Bank (Ex-Im) and Overseas Private Investment Corp (OPIC) programs. Ex-Im supports US exports by providing export financing through its Direct Loan, Guarantees and Insurance programs. The financing is offered in cases where the private sector is unable/unwilling to provide financing or when such support is necessary to provide financing by foreign governments to their exporters that are in competition of export sales with US exporters. The Ex-Im Facility Agent is responsible for reviewing Guarantee/Direct Loan disbursement documentation, liaising with Ex-Im, customer and Citi's LC Bank and coordinating and managing required LC language for LC disbursements under the Ex-Im programs.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 plus years of banking experience
  • Knowledge of Trade and Trade products
  • Accounts receivable/credit management knowledge
  • Familiarity with insurance programs
  • Customer relations exposure
  • General understanding of banking requirements, compliance and internal controls
