This Associate should have 3+ years of M&A experience from any industry of Investment Banking, although Technology or TMT experience is ideal. This specific firm is currently in a high growth mode due to recent increased deal sizes. This is a great opportunity for self-motivated individuals who are looking to advance fairly quickly and take on major responsibility dealing with some of the firm's top deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct live deals throughout sell and buy-side M&As, spin and split-offs/carve-outs, LBOs, Debt Advisory and Equity Advisory.
  • Develop financial models and conduct comparable, valuation and relative value analyses in addition to market specific analysis with modeling and associated outputs and sensitivities.
  • Work in a high-pressure environment and successfully complete projects with tight deadlines.
  • Engage in projects requiring thorough quantitative and qualitative company, economic and industry research and analysis.
  • Create client pitches and market materials with detailed information regarding key acquisitions, disposals, mergers, refinancing and equity capital market alternatives, in addition to internal documentation through collaboration with both internal and external resources.
  • Actively partake in client meetings, external training sessions and industry conferences.
  • Comply with company regulations and confidentiality processes.
  • Active contribute to promoting a healthy firm culture and actively engage in development, recruiting and training efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance from a top academic institution.
  • 3+ years of Investment Banking Experience.
  • Minimum of a 3.4 Cumulative GPA.
  • Prior experience with a top-tier Investment Bank or Corporate Finance Advisor dealing with M&A.
  • Advanced analytical, communication and quantitative skills.
  • Prior experience with analyzing financial statements and relevant data to assess prior financial performance and accurately assess future outlook for client companies and relevant prospects.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills; must be able to build detailed, integrated financial models and projections and effectively analyze the potential impact of proposed transaction options on capital structure and cash flows.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to thrive with tight deadlines.
