Support Engineer
Support Engineer

Our team supports all applications and infrastructure for Corporate Technology. In addition, we manage every aspect of incoming and outgoing data files, which are critical to the firm. It's key for our environment to be stable and resilient while allowing new features/functionality to be delivered in a timely fashion, achieving this will require close partnership with development.

We need you to be a highly motivated and energetic individual who will be tasked with prioritizing problems and when needed escalating. It will be critical for you to interface with others members of the larger support organization to reduce manual workload and improve production stability.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for production issues, support requests, and alerts
  • Work directly with other IT and business teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Setup, manage, and support data file downloads and processing
  • Proactively monitor application and infrastructure alerts and be able to react quickly
  • Ensure issues and outages are properly documented
  • Ensure outstanding issues are handed off to other regions and necessary follow-ups are completed

Qualifications/Skills Required
  • 8+ years of experience in Application Support, preferably in financial services
  • Understanding of financial markets a plus
  • Experience in managing large scale deployments/environments

Technical Skills
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Perl, etc)
  • Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems
  • Experience SSIS/SSRS a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex stored procedures and datasets
  • Ability to support both Windows and Unix/Linux environments
  • Extensive understanding of enterprise monitoring solutions
  • Experience with various continuous integration, development and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus, etc.)
