Support Analyst (Windows Server)
Our Team Technology Services Group (TSG) is the technology enabler for our firm. Our services provide a strong, resilient, and stable platform to host business processes while enabling innovation Our TSG Production Services team provides a full IT service management life-cycle across all TSG applications and infrastructure support. Our mission is to provide a controlled, secure, and predictable production environment. The Role We are seeking a Support Analyst (Windows Server). Our team is a geographically dispersed global operations oriented team with points of presence in the Europe, India and the United States. We provide L2 support for most TSG supported Windows Servers and associated infrastructure software products across the enterprise. The primary products we support are the Windows Server Operating systems, Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix, with a focus on restoring service when things break. We also provide feedback identified design defects to engineering, maintenance and deployment teams to stop further propagation of problems and correction of existing problems. In addition to responding to service interruption events on a 24x7 basis, we play a significant role in the following activities: Data center business recovery tests, final review of new Windows servers for support turnover, review of new OS images, review of administrative access requests to Windows servers, feeding elevated access information for Windows servers into SailPoint, and ESX server information into IDIP. We create tools for ourselves and other team to increase efficiency and repeatability of various repetitive tasks such as access provisioning, server decommissioning, remote server reviews, rapid bulk server shutdown, and deployment build quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: Provide L2/L3 Windows server break/fix support. Provide support for platform migrations. Provide support for DR failover testing. Utilize Programming skills to enhance the groups level of automation. Designs, implements, integrates, and provides full support for software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert. Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup. Works on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues. Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders. Monitors infrastructure and respond to incidents, perform routine health checks and validations after changes or significant incidents, follows defined procedures for routine, low priority incident resolution. Escalate to second level infrastructure support for new or high priority incidents, Review and execute Change Management scripts. Contributes to major incident management calls for resolution of high priority incidents.May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.
