The Markets & Execution Services business within BNY Mellon helps clients solve their trading, financing, and liquidity needs through innovative solutions, market insights, industry expertise, and scalable technology. We deliver services across Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Equities, Securities Finance, Liquidity and Margin, Outsourced Trading and Transition Management.

The Markets & Execution Services team seeks an experienced strategy professional to help develop and execute the business strategy and vision in an increasingly dynamic financial markets ecosystem.

What We Do:

The Strategy team plays a central role in shaping the strategic narrative and execution of critical initiatives for BNY Mellon Markets & Execution Services. The team works with senior leadership to define, analyze, and articulate business performance, strategic direction, and opportunities for growth. It enables effective executive level communication of high impact or high visibility initiatives and facilitates decision making for BNY Mellon Executives and its Board of Directors.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Lead and structure bespoke analyses on critical initiatives
  • Identify and evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including strategic external partnerships and business case development, alongside line of business experts and corporate teams
  • Conduct primary research, competitive benchmarking, and market intelligence
  • Identify implications of analyses and synthesize complex information into easily consumable frameworks for senior leadership
  • Run annual strategy processes and develop strategic plans for BNY Mellon Executive Committee and Board of Directors
  • Work collaboratively with Corporate and divisional teams to achieve organizational objectives and ensure alignment with Bank-wide activities

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to remain agile in a fast-paced, global environment often under tight time constraints
  • Excellent and efficient use of MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (required)
  • Prior work experience in management consulting, strategy, or investment banking

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related work experience preferred
