Description

About this role

Strategic Partner Program - Analyst/ Associate

The Strategic Partner Program (SPP) is responsible for delivering the full depth and breadth of BlackRock's capabilities to a subset of our largest clients on a global basis. These include global financial institutions, public pensions, insurers, official institutions and corporations.

The SPP's goals are: (1) Ensuring that we understand the strategic business priorities of our largest clients, and develop forward-looking plans that address them; (2) Coordinating and driving execution across the whole firm to support this mission; (3) Identifying trends and opportunities across client segments; (4) Facilitating executive engagement with our most important clients; and (5) delivering a differentiated experience to our Strategic Partners that increases their satisfaction and positively impacts their enterprise.

The SPP fulfills this mission by assigning global, firm-wide ownership of Strategic Partner relationships to an Accountable Executive (AE), who quarterbacks the client P&L across all BlackRock business areas.

We are looking for an Analyst / Associate to join the Strategic Partner Program and help deliver the full resources of the firm to our largest global clients. There is significant upside growth potential in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a small, focused team with extensive day-to-day contact with senior business leaders and stakeholders across BlackRock.

  • Work on implementing firm growth priorities across Strategic Partner firms - provide analysis, metrics and generate insights that support key initiatives.

  • Support senior SPP Partners and assigned AE(s) in identifying opportunities for revenue growth and executive-level engagement and direct firm resources towards those opportunities.

  • Coordinate a virtual team of key stakeholders (i.e. relationship managers and channel leads) who interact with these clients by implementing formal relationship review sessions.

  • Alongside senior SPP partners, support focus client program and growth initiatives of channel heads in defining and executing business development strategy and creating a clear roadmap for growing relationships.

  • Help drive strategic C-Suite events (sometimes on a global scale).

  • Brief senior BlackRock executives on Strategic Partner client relationships.

  • Assist with broader business management activities and strategic projects.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in asset management or relevant financial services capacity.

  • Commitment to excellence and high level of energy to help scale and enhance this strategic function within the firm.

  • Effective team player, comfortable working across multiple functions, geographies and stakeholders, with maturity and judgment in dealing with internal clientele.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Robust quantitative skills along with demonstrated analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues.

  • Eagerness to learn and understand all aspects of the business, including reporting, communications, and setting and delivering on strategic and tactical objectives.

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task.
