Sr. Specialist, Technology Product Manager
Be an integral part of the Technology Strategy and Operating Model Transformation Group at BNY Mellon, which is building the future of technology by:

Your impact On Our Mission

In this role, you will further our strategy of transforming our business, as a key resource in our Technology Strategy Planning Team. You will continually look for ways to improve our processes and technology, and facilitate training and communications related to our Business Case Application (BCA) and Investment Analytics (IA) products. You will surface issues from our stakeholders and resolve inter-team dependencies, as well as coordinate with our main business partners. You will design and maintain the architecture models that help us plan advancements for our applications, and manage the execution of those plans.

Your day to day is:
  • Collaborating with the team to develop our long-term strategy and vision
  • Leading the improvements in process and design to continuously improve our Business Case Application and Investment Analytics products
  • Aligning and working with the resources required to define and implement improvements
  • Participate in development planning sessions and steer planned work towards successful outcomes and quality
  • Address any issues or gaps in process and functionality
  • Develop KPIs and dashboard views to monitor progress against key objectives
  • Facilitate meetings with team and stakeholders to complete required work and review progress


Leads and provides direction on product management, development and marketing processes for multiple large products or one complex product. Liaises with cross-functional teams to deliver products that address client needs. Leads sessions on the design and product development of products including adoption and marketing strategies for multiple large products. Provides guidance to cross-functional teams during the project lifecycle. Ensures project has necessary requirements, deliverable and support model in place; pre-and post rollout. Is highly familiar with product competitors, consumer trends, and market status. May act as the primary point of contact for some products. Responsible for analyzing, defining, and challenging the product's business case based on team and industry reports. Prioritizes product requirements and further investigates product feasibility. Determines project responsibilities and scope. Develop scope, roadmap strategic direction for the product or product suite. Drive excecution of product roadmap. May serve as Team Lead. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives

Qualifications

You'll be successful in this role if you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • 8-10 years of experience in technology product management, program/project management, software development, digital transformation, or similar relevant experience
  • A proven track record of collaborating across all departments and different levels of leadership
  • Strong problem solving and product management skills
  • An understanding of how technologies work, and some development experience
  • A passion for excellence and organization
  • Comfort dealing with a changing environment
  • Strong communication skills - can explain complex things in clear and simple ways
