Sr Representative, Corporate Tax
Applies expertise and judgement in providing support for federal, state and local tax audits for an assigned business/business partner area. Supports the assigned business/business partner area with quality assistance on a daily basis, including phone interactions, problem resolution, transaction processing, reconciliations and accounting services. Completes a high volume of end-to-end processes, including withholding and depositing non-payroll taxes. Effectively uses tools and systems for resolving tax issues. Performs complex tax activities for an assigned business/business partner area, including contributing to tax analyses and policy implementation, manual processing of records updates and reconciliations. Work consistently aligns with generally accepted accounting principles and the tax strategy for the business/business partner area. Serves as the business/business partner area's primary point of contact for tax transactions,, executes a high volume of correspondent requisites in a timely and accurate manner with a strong understanding of the underlying business/business partner area needs. Independently supports professional and management teams' completion of tax law and case research and analysis. May suggest tax compliance improvements, as appropriate. Provides product knowledge and technical assistance, determining when the more complex problems should be referred to a supervisor or senior professional. Reviews and checks work of other Corporate Tax support staff and helps resolve escalated issues. May be responsible for allocating and checking work of other team members. May be responsible for specific supervisory review and approval actions. Responsible for the quality and completion of own work. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements. High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
bachelor s degree preferred. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in tax compliance or accounting preferred.
