As a Senior Regulatory Policy Advisor (VP) in the Regulatory Policy & Advisory Group (RPAG) in New York you will be responsible for policy interpretation of the CCAR regulation as implemented in the U.S.

As a Senior Regulatory Policy Advisor (VP) in the Regulatory Policy & Advisory Group (RPAG) in New York you will be responsible for policy interpretation of the CCAR regulation as implemented in the U.S. The role will also be responsible for overseeing new or proposed prudential regulations expected to impact the IHC in the future (for example, Single Counterparty Credit Limits (SCCL), Total Loss Absorbing Capacity (TLAC)). This role is a highly visible role within the team requiring interaction with various groups across the firm including Treasury, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance and the Business. The focus of your work will be to:

  • Translate U.S. CCAR regulatory requirements into internal policies on target areas, for example scope of products in the global market shock
  • Provide policy advice and issue guidance in the form of Q&As to internal functions responsible for the implementation of CCAR requirements
  • Monitor and assess changes to the U.S. regulatory framework and communicate them to senior management, control functions and business divisions
  • Advise on the application and impact of new regulation on business models and products
  • Participate in internal committees and make related policy decisions to ensure consistency of rule application and regulatory adherence
  • Develop and deliver educational services

Experience/ Exposure:

  • Work experience in a similar role within a global universal or investment bank, audit or consultancy firm or with regulatory authorities
  • Good knowledge of the existing CCAR requirements
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. Basel 3
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills are key requirements for this role
  • Knowledge about investment banking products/trades
  • An understanding of accounting rules and their relevance to the regulatory framework

Education/ Qualifications:

  • Degree educated, ideally in business administration, law, finance or science
  • An expert in the field of CCAR and/or US Basel III regulatory requirements
  • Experienced in communicating complex regulatory matters both verbally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders at senior levels
  • Excellent in analyzing and resolving complex regulatory issues in a timely and reliable manner
  • Structured, pro-active and resilient
