Sr. Investment Strategist I
  • Serves as the primary contact for largest and most complex institutional clients, prospects and consultants.
  • Provides ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific products across all non-traditional asset classes and strategies.
  • Create models/thesis/insights to help shape key Alternative strategy and portfolio construction.
  • Participates and drives Alternative investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers. Is a driver in developing new products. Generates and implements investment ideas and solutions for specific strategies, with the goal of contributing to investment results.
  • Has a key role in business development.
  • Serves as the primary Alternative investment contact for the most complex clients; clients who are tie to significant AUM and revenue.
  • Influences others by demonstrating strong investment ability and communicating and engaging with colleagues.
  • Creates written investment commentary, overseeing development and updating of current RFP responses, questionnaires and marketing materials, and prepares investment commentary for firm client letters and newsletters.
  • Directs work to more junior Alternatives staff and mentors their professional development. Serves as the primary contact for largest and most complex institutional clients, prospects and consultants.

  • Participates and drives investment strategy meetings with portfolio managers. Is a driver in developing new products.
  • Generates and implements investment ideas and solutions for specific strategies, with the goal of contributing to investment results.
  • Has a key role in business development.
  • Serves as the primary investment contact for the most complex clients; clients associated with significant AUM and revenue. Influences others by demonstrating exceptional investment acumen and communicating and engaging with colleagues, clients and consultants.
  • Creates written investment commentary, overseeing development and updating of current RFP responses, questionnaires and marketing materials, and prepares investment commentary for firm client letters and newsletters.
  • No direct reports; provides guidance to less experienced Investment Strategists as needed.
  • Contributes to team/firm profitability by assuring retention and expansion of existing client relationships by contributing to superior investment performance and client services.
  • In some regions, may serve as the primary interface for jurisdictional/ regulatory matters and may have entity governance responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of technical acumen specifically around general investment concepts such as asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk budgeting, asset-liability management, derivatives usage and implementation, trading, and risk management.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Often has an advanced/graduate degree and CFA.
  • 10+ years of total work experience preferred and 7 years or more of investment experience preferred.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
  • As global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances important for client trust.
