Sr.Spec'st Project/Prgm Mgr

Sr. Specialist Project/Program Manager->> Leads and provides some direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications. Manages and oversees the end to end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of medium to high business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization). Directs and controls all work performed within the framework of the Work Structure. Develops detailed project plans and schedules application/infrastructure projects, including goals, risks and resource allocation. Monitors project results for significant deviations. Manages vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met. Maintains regular contact with clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments. May provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals. Works with all required Information Technology functions and groups to effectively plan and execute the project. May coordinate resources across organizational boundaries. Serves as a liaison between clients and internal technical groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Manages communication with the business at a detailed functional level and discusses/resolves issues. Manages client expectations and ensures project delivery in conformance with company software development life cycle methodologies. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial, 8 - 10 years of related project management experience required, experience with technology or financial services industry is a plus.

Qualifications

Program Management:

• Responsible for the overall delivery and management of the D&M project portfolio

• Work with resource managers to ensure resources are being managed/deployed efficiently between all active projects

• Assess new project requests: get the right resources to scope, size and cost a new request, and work with resource managers and their direct managers to determine when appropriate resources would be available, and assess impact to other projects in the D&M portfolio

• Act as hands-on Project Manager for major/critical initiatives to ensure successful delivery, and to ensure lead analysts and technologists are able to focus on where their skillsets are most needed

• Represent D&M in both AMT and business level status and planning meetings

• Work directly with D&M managers to ensure they are is kept informed of status and major issues and to escalate critical issues where appropriate

• Assist project teams in risk assessments and Architecture Review Board presentations

• Work with CAO team on managing costs, project estimations, resource allocations, annual planning and resource/operating plan

• Assist in the procurement of consultants when needed

Business Analyst:

• Assist lead analyst on requirements gathering

• Develop Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) and other documentations for Design

• Build test plans and cases, assist in executing tests and verifying/tracking results

Agile SME:

• Act as overall Agile expert/SME for D&M as well as AMT

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

• Strong JIRA skills in building projects, agile boards, issue workflows

• Assisting AMT with Jira upgrades and on the AMT team for the Migration to Corporate Jira

• Mentor/support training for new Scrum Masters

• Oversee the Agile project for D&M project teams

• Assisted CAO on the vetting of JIRA Portfolio and other options for Agile program/project reporting

Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
