Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global commodities brokerage looking for an agricultural/soft commodities derivatives broker to add to their team in the US.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for managing institutional clients on the agricultural/soft commodities desk, selling and executing mainly futures and options/exchange listed contracts to new and existing clients
  • Provide technical and fundamental analysis as well as full customer service in order to increase customer satisfaction
  • Establish strong business relationships with new, additional clearing and execution facilities (ICE Block, ClearPort) for soft commodities (coffee, sugar, cotton, and cocoa), grains (wheat, barley, corn, rice) and oilseeds (soybean, soybean oil)
  • Recommend and sell solutions from across the firm’s product range (exchange traded futures and options, forward market contracts, tailored OTC products) to existing and new clients while taking into consideration changes within the agricultural/soft commodities market
  • Reports into Managing Director

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 3+ years’ work experience in executing futures and options contracts in commodities, preferably in agricultural/soft commodities, concentrating on soft commodities (coffee, sugar, cocoa, cotton), grains and oilseeds. A Series 3 license is also required.
  • An existing transferable book of business in exchange traded options / futures (EFTs) with an annual revenue/P&L exceeding US$500k is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and sales skills combined with extensive knowledge of the futures industry focusing on commodity futures and options
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or other relevant course
  • Located in either New York, Chicago, Miami or Houston (happy to relocate)
