Role Description
The Business Treasury provides analytical and market/product support to businesses within Citigroup; drives balance sheet optimization on a country and business basis; establishes governance policies and their implementation through the ALCO process; and establishes transfer pricing and benchmark curves for business pricing; drives the economic and rate forecasts embedded in forecasting, along with analytics related to Net Interest Margin and Net Credit Margin; liaises with Legal Entity Treasury, Central Funding Desk, and other groups within Corporate Treasury to ensure proper governance and oversight;

This person is the Business Treasurer for the two Cards Businesses. There are three primary roles:
• The Business Treasurer role includes: (1) partnership with senior management of the Card businesses as well as their strategic teams (2) management of accrual net interest margin and net credit margin P&L through proper application of transfer pricing and hedging and (3) balance sheet optimization through growth in high-quality deposits and asset portfolios (4) management of liquidity and interest rate profile (5) development of liquidity and funding plans.

• The candidate serves as a Deputy to the NA Consumer Bank Treasurer and Regulatory Liaison coordinating analysis and funding activities for the Cards businesses, partnering with the Treasury Finance team, the Central Funding Desk/Portfolio Management teams, Global Liquidity Management, and Market Risk Management teams to ensure implementation of the appropriate Treasury initiatives and activities. The candidate will also be working closely with the CBNA Treasurer in driving treasury initiatives related to governance for CBNA.

• The candidate will manage an analyst and will interact directly with the NA Consumer management team.

Specific Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will serve a leadership role and interact with the senior managers/senior decision makers of the Branded Cards and Retail Services businesses including the business heads and LFOs in managing the treasury relationship. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of banking as well as critical thinking and analytical strength to understand the financial levers for business success. The candidate will support the businesses Plan, Outlook, CCAR, other stress testing, and related processes, drive the analysis of net interest margin and economic modeling; evaluate the transfer pricing methodologies, determine the liquidity risk and management assumptions, as well as craft relevant sections of the Funding and Liquidity Plan for Citibank, NA. The candidate will drive the agendas and lead discussions at the Asset Liability Committee meetings, be an active participant in pricing and product discussions, lead Treasury's role in the businesses M, A, & D work, and analyze and manage the interest rate gapping/credit hedges for lending products. Additionally, the candidate will play a major role in special projects that are delegated by the Global Consumer Bank Treasurer.

Qualifications

• Financial and banking expertise, including mastering of economic, statistical and financial analytical techniques
• Solid skill base with respect to liquidity and interest rate management; risk management skills are a plus
• Leadership skills, with solid interpersonal skills for interface with senior management
• Proven execution abilities and proficiency at managing multiple projects and work streams
• Politically savvy with ability to collaborate within a team
• Minimum 10 years financial experience/MBA preferred
