Product Control is a global control function within Citi Finance and is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of a trading desk or business product.

The valuation control group (VCG) is a global group within Product Control that is responsible for controlling, analyzing and reporting on independent price verification (IPV) of positions which require fair value measurement and other than temporary impairment (OTTI) analysis.

This role will focus on ensuring that Citi's pricing and price verification standards and procedures are applied consistency across all business areas and will emphasize the standardization of reports and automation of manual or duplicative processes.

Job Description:

• Perform pricing analysis on various term loan, bridge loan, and revolving loan facilities using applicable valuation techniques including comparable yield and discounted cash flow analysis.
• Perform impairment analysis on various equity investments and held-to-maturity (HTM) long term leased assets.
• Provide detailed documentation and rigorous analytical support to validate pricing methodologies and demonstrate compliance with best practices and accounting standards.
• Organize monthly and quarterly Business Valuation Control Meetings for traditional asset based finance and leveraged finance origination businesses.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure monthly reporting deadlines are met and required documentation is archived in compliance with reporting policies.
• Attend ad hoc meetings with regulators, external audit, and internal audit.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

• Strong organization skills with project management experience and ability to implement change in a cross functional environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial markets and valuation methodologies applicable to the pricing of liquid and illiquid investments.
• Knowledgeable with application of FAS157/ASC 820 guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
