The S&P Global Platform team is a creative team of experts collaborating across divisions and driving continuous improvements in platform usability and innovation. The Platform team is building NextGen core capabilities to drive deeper Technology transformation for S&P Global. We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to accelerate development and adoption of our NextGen capabilities, including a global design system for cross-division use.

The Senior UX Designer for Platform Core Services is a key component of S&P Global's Technology organization that provides an enriched and valuable ecosystem of core capabilities for S&P Global platform that drive innovation for our clients, within S&P Global divisions, and globally.

The Impact:
The Senior UX Designer is responsible for shaping the next-generation of design system components at S&P Global. In this role you will be joining the team responsible for our design system. This role is essential in creating components, patterns, interactions, and behaviors that define our design system and overall user experience. It's an exciting role, where you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact within our design and UX strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a very strong UI/UX background with experience in seeing designs from conception through implementation. Candidates should have experience crafting pixel-perfect design solutions while carefully considering overall usability and accessibility. You'll work closely with front-end developers to ensure designs and features are implemented according to plan. While you're an advocate for consistency and identifying common patterns, you're also willing to push the limits on design and industry trends.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate and evolve component design and patterns from concept through completion, including development of wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes.
Work with divisional product owners and designers to craft new component experiences.
Abstract product-specific user experiences into generic patterns and components.
Document component guidelines, best practices, and usage patterns.
Work closely with engineers to ensure quality delivery and completion of projects.
Evolve user experiences through prototyping and user testing of new features and workflows.
Support adoption to help teams get the most out of the design system.
Communicate frequently with divisional users of the design system to ensure component requirements and definitions meet client needs.
Create and maintain key libraries to support design teams (e.g. Sketch, Figma, etc).

Qualifications:
7+ years of work experience in UX design for large scale distributed platforms.
Experience working with design systems, UI patterns, and reusable components libraries.
Ability to see a project from ideation through completion.
Broad knowledge of existing and emerging trends, best practices, and industry standards.
Expert understanding of visual harmony and information hierarchy.
Expert working knowledge of design and prototyping tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, InVision).
Great understanding of planning, designing, and testing for accessible user experiences.
Experience in writing simple and clear documentation and guidelines that can be understood across different target audiences (i.e. product, engineering, design).
Experience with planning and executing prototypes.
Good understanding of HTML and CSS.
Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment.

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,300 to $155,900 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
