Senior Treasury Analyst

My client, a top International Investment Bank based in New York, require a Senior Treasury Analyst to help managing the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) processes across Treasury (Corporate and Business Treasuries). This role involves monthly/quarterly balance sheet reviews with Corporate, return analysis, limit setting discussions with the businesses.

This position will play a critical role in returns analysis, regulatory impact on ICG balance sheet and capital, CCAR, Outlook, Planning and Quarter-end processes.  The team will be building new processes and relationships with Treasury and RISK, and will be continuing to improve upon the current processes.  The complexity of the ICG Balance sheet will provide opportunities to work closely in partnership with Treasury, ICG businesses, as well as the central CCAR teams. This role will involve in projects such as build-out of cross-business liquidity, interest rate risk and regulatory capital forecasting into the standardized planning process at both a legal entity and consolidated level.  He/She will also partner with Treasury to analyze legal entity capital and trapped liquidity.

 
Key Responsibilities:  
 

  • Leading the delivery and of balance sheet activities across all Markets & Securities Services business, central point of contact for CFO and Business
  • Working with Business Partners in driving specific aspects of the Integrated Capital Planning process, including coordinating business engagement for CCAR.
  • Deep dive into Trading Net Interest Revenue drivers to better develop forecasting models that can be presented and substantiated to the regulators
  • Participate in strategic exercises for ICG Finance including ad-hoc analysis and reporting
  • Analysis and explanation of key movements and trends in Balance Sheet including linkage with business drivers and client trends
  • Partners across Finance to understand and improve efficiency of process and deliverables, particularly focused on balance sheet components and Interest Revenues
  • Developing / Coordinating comprehensive management information for business, leveraging Insight and driving enhancements as required. Produce and distribute consistent analytics across loans, deposits, fees, and trading, to the Product FPA teams and businesses
  • Proactively engage and interface across Business, Finance and other relevant functional areas to leverage information and processes to meet requirements whilst avoiding unnecessary duplication

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics  with a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in Financial Services
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced critical thinking capabilities
  • Prior planning and forecasting experience desirable; Treasury experience will be beneficial but not required
  • High energy style with the ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-developed aptitude with spreadsheets and other desktop applications
  • Possess a sound understanding of financial drivers, and their influence on the markets
  • Must possess a proactive work ethic and be a team player
  • Prior experience with Oracle Essbase, Pearl, JADE, Business Objects a plus
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills required
  • Ability to analyze, organize and synthesize large, complex sets of data
  • People and/or project management experience in a dynamic and technical environment is a plus
